The Indulgers formed in Colorado after
Dublin born and raised, Irish singer Damien McCarron
had completed a
solo recording project and decided to settle in the west.
While recording at Alley Studios in Wheat Ridge, McCarron and producer
Mike Nile formed a songwriting
partnership and created an Irish rock
band that continues to explore the boundries of the genre.
Mike had returned to Colorado as a member of Randy California's
-Spirit- and played with
Mick Fleetwood's Speed Of Light Band while based in Los Angeles.
Regular gigs at front range and mountain venues and festivals polished
the band
known for high energy shows and top class
original material sending the
Indulgers to major festivals in many states across America including,
Kansas City Irish Festival, San Francisco Oyster Festival, Chicgago
Irish Festival and Irish Fest in Albany, NY.
The flair of Fiddle player Renee Fine flows through the soul crafted
songs of the McCarron/Nile,
while rythym section Aaron Haywood (Bass) and Cheech Mannone
(Drums) add the
energy as the band expands to a six piece with the addition of Ryan
Bunnell in the spring of 2013
for the release of the seventh album "Whiskey Tonight".
A recent tour of Ireland led to the band appearing in an Irish TV
documentary filmed on location in Colorado, detailing immigration
thru the ages.
The show was developed by legendary Irish rockers Jim Lockhart and Barry
Devlin of Horslips,
the director behind many U2
videos.
Neale Heywood of Fleetwood Mac and The Lindsey Buckingham Band
co-produces The Indulgers CDs and is currently working
with the band
finishing the upcoming new release.
