The Indulgers - In The Papers

The Indulgers as mentioned in
The Clare People.

Everyone's Favorite Irish band. The Rocky Mountain News.

Once you get beyond college-age, the frequency with which you discover really terrific bands decreases steadily. That’s what made finding the Indulgers – a Celtic-rock band with Irish and American players based, of all places, in Golden, Colo. – so pleasurable. I heard them at the tsunami-relief concert at the Boulder Theater a couple of weeks ago, where they played a dynamic hour-long set. Fronted by loose-limbed singer/guitarist Mike Nile and a gorgeous fiddle virtuoso named Renee Fine. - New West Magazine

By Matt Schild - If you cringe at just the thought of drinking green beer in a sports bar with cardboard shamrocks covering the Bronco and Rockies logos, it's probably a sign you need a megadose of authenticity this St. Patty's Day. Of course, in Denver's sports-bar and dance-club saturated landscape, finding a slice of the Emerald Isle is tough -- even on March 17. The solution is a simple one-two combo of Denver's Irish institutions -- an Irish band and an Irish bar. The Indulgers' Celtic rock forges a truce between ages-old folk traditions and the modern-day rock. The band's exhilarating blend of rock guitar and drums with Irish fiddle, mandolin and tin whistle has inspired many a spontaneous jig. To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, the Indulgers return to Fado, the LoDo Irish pub where the band made its first appearances. It couldn't be a more fitting return, either, as Fado's authentic Irish atmosphere provides a legendary St. Patrick's Day celebration. --
